Flank leds for license plate anyone?

Flank leds for license plate anyone?
I have an SC300 and I need an LED bulb for my license plate. As we all know, the bulb is mounted at a right angle, with the tip pointing in the direction of the car behind. Would using the Flank LED illuminate the license plate better than all the other types of LEDs?
