Default 01 ES300 lowbeam

I recently bought an 01 Coach Edition and love it. I'm just confused about one thing, I was just browsing through the manual and saw that there was an HID option for the 01 ES300. How does that work? Did the car either come with HID or regular headlights and if so how do I know which models have the HID in and which ones don't? Or is it that just either work? Sorry if I come off a little slow to all of this, I'm new to the game.

The two bulbs listed are D2R and H7

Here is an ES300 with OEM HID. HID was a dealer option. D2R for HID and H7 for halogen. You can definately tell HID from halogen light. It's much whiter. Post some pictures if you're still unsure.

Damn, I'm starting to miss my 99 Coach Edition ES. Might pick up a 01 eventually.

i think yo'ure asking if you have HID's in your car right? if your headlights are way brighter than most other cars on the road and they look very white with a slight blue tint when you look at the light on the road and every other car has yellow appearing light then you have HID's.

The lights would also go up, down, left and right when you first turn them on to adjust.

Do they have a blue tint when they first come on, then turn white as they warm up? If so they are HID.
