hey olu, you think you can hook up the halos and take a picture of how they look at night.
also are you using the spacers you made and what bulb size fits in those headlights? does the 9006 size fit?

I forgot to post pictures of the spacers and mounting of the light bulbs. I'm using 9006 bulbs from an HID kit. The projectors are supposed to have H7 bulbs. I think the light pattern would probably be more even with the H7 bulbs.
Pics:
This is the spacer by itself
Picture of the projector and the shield. As you can see the shield goes down at an angle to the left. That's what creates the flare off to the right.
No spacer
Spacer in place
Bulb secured

Thanks for the pics.....so 5/8" spacer will give you the best light output?
Btw...your return ground wire is facing down...right?

These projectors use H7 bulbs. D2R bulb would work, but you'd have to modify it to get the best light output.

You want mine? :P I've thought on changing to OEM with AAC halos instead...
Anybody know the difference in height from base between the point of light output of 9006 and D2R? ie if their output point is the same then I should be able to get the same spec off of this tread and work perfectly instead of measuring and cutting as I've got no way to cut and working without a garage for extended periods in -10'C isn't a good idea.

This won't work with oem HID systems. You'd lose your auto-leveling and you'd probably get worse light output with D2R bulbs.

So outside diameter of spacer is 1"....depth is 5/8" for your 9006 McCulloch HID bulb. I got H7 HID bulb...so I wonder if I need the spacer at all...or depth would be different.

I just installed mines today....I got H7 HID kit for it....but HID bulb return ground wire was on top when installed...so I just dremel the other side of the HID bulb...and now the ground wires is facing down as it should be....looks like a good beam pattern....will know more tonight....when i do some adjusting. Pics to come.
