HIDS and High Beams
I was driving behind what looked to be a '06 or '07 Lexus RX330 this evening and at some point I noticed the driver turned on the high beams. I drive in areas where there isn't much street lighting sometimes. My lights are bright enough to light up the road good enough for me to drive but the RX had HIDS on it. I don't know if the person's vision wasn't all that good to make them turn on the high beams. This leads me to the question, for those driving with HIDS, do you feel the need to drive with high beams on at times? I think the stock HIDS that come with most cars are bright enough to shine the road enough so that you don't need to use high beams.
thats a good question. i went from regular halogens to a basic ebay hid kit(6K/3k fogs). it seems like the hids light up more road, but the halogens, although doesnt light up as much ground, seems to light up wat it lights more sharply and clearer. so yea at times, i find myself using my high beams.
