Default Need help w/ retrofit. How to change bulbs

Hello,

Ive got an sc300 and I'm doing a tsx retrofit. I know that i will need the D2s bulbs but i've got a question. Most likely i will need an HID kit to go along with my projectors, correct? Also how would i power the D2s bulbs? Do i get rid of my current 9006 bulb wires as well? Everything else about the retrofit is ok, just wondering about these basics.

Thanks

You will need some ballast with d2s/d2r heads, some sort of relay setup whether you make them or buy them to get the juice from the battery as opposed to using you stock harness and if you can find them a set of connectors to plug into your 9006 plugs that you can wire to your relay setup that runs to the ballast and the battery that way you dont have to cut your factory harness to hard wire it

You can get some 9006 ballasts so that you won't have to splice anything then get some D2S adaptors. That's what I did since I already had an aftermarket HID kit before I did my retro.

Thats what I have, I went with a TSX retrofit too, still working on it though.

It comes with a wiring harness too, all you need to start it.

Your current bulb goes away. The ballast plugs into your stock connectors and goes into the new D2S bulb.
