I've been going back and forth on this for a couple weeks now. Still not sure whether I want yellow or clear. I think I'm leaning towards clear.
What would you guys do with a Q45 retrofit? 4300k in the projectors and 3000k in the fogs or 5000k or 6000k in both? From what I understand the Q45's aren't gonna have as colorful a cutoff and flicker as some others and I figure the 6000k might give them just a little extra color; along with the fogs having a little color too then.
I know the lighting isn't gonna be up there with LS430's anyway but I guess I'm willing to compomise a little for looks; I don't like the look of a small projector in the huge GS headlights. I think the 6000k's might be the way to go for looks with still decent performance. Tough decisions, I can't believe I'm actually stressing a little over this and which springs to use.

HID or Halogen?
I think just because of the color difference, white will appear to have the best and brightest light output. But both are actually used for different applications.
Just for normal driving at night, I say go with the clear with HID conversion. 6000k of course.

Ok so I'm a little confused...I have the clear fogs with the yellow lense inside to make them yellow. I would like them brighter by adding HID's but keeping them yellow. Do I get 3000k or 5000k?? So lost!

LOL thats what I was thinking. Although I DO like the clear, some of these cars pictured with yellow look pretty good, I think it has more to do for me with the overall theme of the car.
EDIT:
Just went out and broje out the yellow lense part on the fogs, I must say, I'm glad I did. I'm goig 6k HID all the way around, D2R stock replacement, high beams, and fogs. I'll post some pics when I'm done.
Of note, the screwdriver trick with the yellow lense works well, additionally I took a shop vac and put it over the bulb housing after braking up the yellow, it sucked all out of there quickly.
