When Steve ships out next day, he seriously means next day. DHL next day is extremely fast. My lights came the next morning after they were shipped... that was less than 24 hours.

Steve, I'm very intrigued with this conversion kit but do have one question. My wife's 05 RX330 has the standard hologen headlight assembly. Would this kit work?? Or would I need to change the assemblies to the OEM projectors??

Yes, I remember reading a thread started by IronCobra about the better projections on the 97+ that were manufacture later on, however, Im still not sold on it. I think retrofiting with TSX, S2k, Audi TT projectors will be a better way to go that way you get the best output in terms out lighting quality. Also the reason why oem use 4300K is because they have the highest output in lumen and they seem kinda yellow at first but if break in the bulbs it suppose to be pure white (85122 bulbs). I agree with you that 6000K is too blue and not oem-like, thats why I want to do a retrofit and use the 4300K and make the cutoff a blue color.

heh...

I have original 1993 headlights (going by part number, at least), and they have a well defined cut-off line - just as good as the "newer" style...

HOWEVER...

This was only realized AFTER I cleaned the hell out of them... I'm talking the whole thing - the reflector, the lens, the cover, the whole thing... before I did all the cleaning, polishing, etc, the light was all over the place... honestly, even before the HID's, the sylvanias I had in there had a nice cutoff line...

I think cleaning the cover lenses had a lot to do with this in terms of your beam pattern, and i have 95 headlights on my car that are really clean, the cutoff is decent, but it's not razor edge sharp. It was also confirmed they use a different projector on the 'newer' headlights, but I dont think it's all that great. In addition, I think Tiguy99 noted also the fact that the headlights covers are to thick which kinda kills the output of the projector even though he sanded down/deline the area where the projector puts the light out of. If anything, I would say that the headlight housing on the SC isnt that great, ie the cover, the reflectors, the position of the projector.

I put the Sylvanias in my 93 SC400. My right lens was leaking and was half full of water. I DID NOT take the housing apart but i filled it with soap and agitated it. Told it really stupid stories. I did both with the soap and rinced the heck out of them. Outcome....left is bright and has a cutoff that is razor sharp. The right , the leaker, is bright but the cut off is much fuzzier than the left. How can I tell if I have original housings.

Whoever put out that info about the Sylvanis bulbs....Thanks, they are great.

You must have different projectors in your headlights b/c i havent seen a stock sc projector with a razor sharp cutoff. Go look at an s2000, that's razor sharp. Stock SC projectors can't hang with that, yo.
