Question Hiper brand bulbs...

I have changed out the lows, highs, and fogs with Hiper brand hyperwhite bulbs. I really like the look. Yesterday, I was talking to a guy who worked in parts at my Lexus dealer. He told me that these bulbs tend to melt the wire harnesses because of the higher voltage that they pull. He said that he had a couple of people come in with melted harnesses. Have you guys heard anything about this?

Thanks,
Peter.

Yep, I have. Avoid these aftermarket bubs. It took mine about 6 months. Fortunately, the dealer replaced the harness this time.

I would stay away from these bulbs.

hey dont go with hipers...

My friend has a 94 accord, and used hipers and twice it blew in her head lamp... She had to remove the entire headlamp to clean it out.

My other friend used it on his 99 acura cl, it straight up burned a hole thru his lamp, pretty funny, but sucks...

Go for piaas or raybrigs, those are more reliable brands... My sister has raybrigs in her accord, and they are working out fine and are really bright...

Better solution yet, get a REAL hid conversion kit haha, i'm still looking in on it... I got a quote for 550 installed, is that a good deal? phillips brand from like europe or something like that

You can also go to www.autotoystore.com and get a high wattage wiring set...
