Default GS 400 with LS430

Whats up guys, long time browser but i hardly post. Here is a weekend project that i finished for my brother who has a 99 GS400. The projectors are out of an 04 LS430. They are not color modded and the lenses are original rather than the more popular TSX ones. I opted not to mod them because after a long debate on HIDplanet we all concurred that the LS430 projectors produce the best light when left in stock condition rather than the modded one. The retrofit was a breeze I was able to finish it over a couple of days but it did take about 3 months before i got to actually doing some work on it. /

^^ Some clean pictures.

and now some filthy ones from over the weekend. I will have wall shots of the output soon as well.

The projectors are rotated perfectly rather than creating an angled output. Thats teh biggest problem with retros, although people can aim them correctly horizontally and vertically, its the rotational alignment that most miss out on, i took the time to adjust that before sealing up the headlights. The car is in MD and i am in MA so it wont be soon before i get the output shots. Here are a few pictures of zam2000 (a fellow member at HIDplanet.com) MB E320 with the same set up. This is exactly how the above headlights perform, when squeeky clean ofcourse.

That retrofit looks OEM. I'm jealous of the headlight trim in the GS headlamp. It hides all of the behind the scenes work very well.

Thumbs up

I like it the only problem I see is you cut too much of your turn signal tube for clearance ,check out my gallery pics my pics arent the best but I got all night shots my setup is stock with the tsx lense which imo is brighter ,I like your setup Ive seen your post on hidplanet a couple of weeks ago dont see too many lexus on there just a bunch of hoopties and ricecakes, you represented hard

I know what you mean, thats about the only blemish with the whole retro. It happened because i was trying to finish it up with only a few hours to spare before heading out for the night .

Check out the following that i planned for three months, finished in 2 nights and 3 days . I used to have TSX retroed for my 03 TL-S but moving upscale to quad retro, TL with ZKW lenses and a pair of S2ks to support the TL along with CCFLs, dont mind the wires on the top they will be covered by custom eyelids.
