Hi All,

I just joined and am doing some inital research. I am trying to find out if the Toyota Soarer has DOT or SAE healights approved headlights? I am trying to find out if i will have to buy new ones if i import a soarer to Canada from Japan.

I seem to have gotten the answer I was looking for in the Sc300/400 forum. It does seem they do have DOT stamped on the lens's in case anyone else happens to be looking.

They have DOT stamped on them.

I made it through the inspection without any problems, but they do flare the wrong way. It's a very sharp cut off, so it doesn't seem to blind oncoming drivers. I have never been hi beamed yet, to this day, and i've had my soarer for 3 months already.

I was going to swap the projectors for a retrofit down the road.
