Default My Polarg M-6 bulbs arrived!

Here is a picture of my new Polargs. Gonna drop them in the wedge slot. I know they are big, but it will look better to have a little brighter and whiter bulb in there. I will post pics of them once they are in the wedge. Oh yeah, I got them from Autodynamics. See the free stickers they sent me!!

Not whiter, but they will be very blue, check with your local laws as too blue is illegal in most states. M4's look much more subtle and therefore better, just my .02

I think the M6's look better I just didn't want to take the risk of melting my housing....

Default Before Polarg M-6 replacement

Here is a "before" shot of the stock wedge bulbs (they sure look yellow next to my OEM HID's)

Default Polarg M-6 bulbs

Here is a shot I took just minutes ago after installing my new Polarg M-6 bulbs. This first shot makes the Polargs look a bit violet, but the next shot shows them to be more of a white-blue, closely matching my OEM HID's. I personally love the Polargs. I tried some cheap blue 5W bulbs I got at the local auto parts store, but they were weak and too much of a blue. Polarg saves the day!!

Default Polargs

Ok, a different angle. I guess they do look a bit more like violet than white. Oh well, in my opinion violet is way better than yellow. You have to decide for yourself. I personally hate the stock yellow bulbs. I don't care if these M-6 bulbs burn out prematurely. Hell they only cost me $18 for the pair shipped! That is cheap, even if they only last a year or so. The driver side wedge bulb is a bit of a PITA to get to, but it only took me 10 mins. I can handle that.

Looks nice. I had these bulbs before also, eventually the blue coating will start to peel from the heat. But they match pretty well from what I remember when I had them. I have some Raybrig LED ones now.

Default Housing melting?

I don't think melting the housing is a concern. I have done quite a bit of searching on this forum and lots of guys are running M-6 bulbs in the wedge housing. Nobody ever mentioned anything about melting the housing. They are 18W bulbs. If anybody has any evidence of melting housings due to M-6 bulbs, please chime in. Thanks.

Had them in my gs for over a year and never had an issue with them melting the housing. In my opinion they are the closest match to the OEM HIDs. I also have had no issue with law enforcements with them being too blue. Maybe with the regular halogens but the HIDs are quite blue themselves.

I had them in my headlights for a while but didnt like how they matched up with the HIDs. Switched to the LED wedges and they match up better.

LED wedge? Where did you get these (what brand)? Do you have any pictures?

Default Led

Yeah, I think I saw those LED's on Lextreme or somewhere on this forum. I was afraid the LED's would look too bright, and be more of a cop-magnet than these Polargs. As far as exploding, if that does happen, I will just hook up a small hose onto my shop vac, thread the hose through the access hole, and suck the pieces out of my housing. As far as melting, the high beam is a 55W bulb (much hotter than these Polargs) and the housing doesn't melt from that. Oh well, I guess I will just leave them in there for awhile.

The M4 are not as bright but if you get the clear obx side markers and use m4s in those that sets it off imo.

I tried the M4's before I went with M6's but even though the M6's have long term issues I decided to leave them in there.
