Default Has Anyone tried D4R bulbs yet?

Some sellers are claiming these new D4R bulbs are a direct replacement for the current D2R housings, and do not require any modification. Can anyone here confirm this? Moreover, has anyone used the newer D4R bulb, and can confirm it’s really better and warrant the upgrade?

thanks.

d2r and d2s have different base, but some aftermarket companies they just make a base that will fit both d2r and d2s, it's very simple

i talked to vicetran before, he said d4r are different, but personally i havent' see any pics. but who knows maybe some company makes some bulbs that will fit in all (if they are different)?

the stock lexus ballasts will not work(unless it's from the new GS or IS). it will fire the bulb up initially but will turn off after a few seconds because the D4's run at a lower voltage. The only D2 ballasts that i know works with the D4 bulbs are the hella Gen 3 and 4.
