Default problem with my HIDs... help would be appreciated...

i bought a 4300k HID kit from corkycal a few months ago.. around mid december.. and the left HID headlight went out.. my question is.. if i decide to go 6000k.. can i just swap out the 4300k bulbs and use the same kit? or do i have to swap out the entire kit? do you guys know where i can just get a replacement bulb? i cant drive my car at night anymore and i have to use mommys rx300.. hahaha.

alrighty, any help would be great. thanks CL bros.

Yup. Bulbs should be fine. I assume you are swapping out both and not just the one that went out right?

Make sure its the bulb and not the ballast. Sometime last year I swapped my OEM hid d2r bulbs for 8000K bulbs and couple months down the road my driver side HID stopped working. I automatically assumed it was the bulb that blew, only to find out later it was actually the ballast. Try swapping the bulb that you think is it burnt on the other side and see if it works. If it still doesn't work then you know the bulb is the culprit....my calculus teacher in highschool once said never to assume things b/c you'll only "make an *** out of U and ME."

yeah, i know another gs owner with the exact same story, that's why i think it's important to make sure the ballasts and relays are ok
