I bought some HIR bulbs about a year ago for two of my cars. At $30 each, they werent cheap, but they promised a big increase in light output with no changes to my wiring or housing. Short story, they're really nice. You get about 80% more light from the low beams and 50% more from the highs. I'd recommend them to anyone who wants' more light but isn't interested in doing an HID setup.
