Cool. Can you post pics of this area under the housings and the new ballasts? I'd like to see how they compare to the "older" ones. I did not realize that they have changed for the 01+. If you can't post , can you send them to me (neo.one@gmail.com)? Thanks.

I have an extra set of HID housings if anyone is interested. I'll be making a post in the classified this weekend. I just need to set some time to take pics of them.

If you put OEM HID ballasts and bulbs into a non-HID OEM housing then you will get alot of drivers on the road pissed off at you.
The housing will cause the HID to bleed out all over the place and you'll end up lighting up everything in front of your car such as houses to the side.
I did this and realized what a mistake it was without making the appropriate shroud for the bulb itself.
You have to shave the plastic portion of the bottom of the bulb itself to make it fit, but I don't recommend it. I say just get OEM HID housings to go along with the OEM HID ballasts and bulbs and be done with it.

Cool HID ballasts

Here's a pic for refernce.. See how much smaller they are? They did fit right under the 01+ green tinted headlight housings I have... i also got the 9006 rings, so i guess i can just modify the bulbs..

The part # is 85967-41010. These are from Denso, where the older ones were Koito. New for the 01+ from what I understand.... same 1+2 wire set up. nice and clean.....
