hey i just installed an hid kit, then 2 hours later after using them i got a check engine light. could this have been from the kit or is it just coincidence? the reason i think it might be from the kit is because it runs at 35 watts and the factory bulbs run at 55.

also it appears as if one bulb is way more white then the other. is this normal or is there a burn in time or something where they will even out?

Is the kit new? One bulb may have burned in more than the other. As for the engine check light, it may be a coincidence.

 

provided that all wirings are good, the brightness should be teh same, give it couple of days and see if it's good

about teh CEL, it should have nothing to do with the hid kit
