Why is it so hot

sup guys. my order just came in for a pair of Piaa Gt-x. I just installed them today. they worked fine. But than when i touch the fog lamp it is very very hot. It produce as much heat as a home light bulb if gets touch. Is this safe or ok for my fog unit and wireing? i have had nokia 55W=110W in it before and its never this hot.

the Piaa Gt-x bulbs are rated at 55W=110W

BTW my car is a 98 es300

You shouldn't be touching the bulbs at all.... All halogen bulbs get hot, it's normal.

no, what i ment is the fog light unit itself felt like a burning light bulb. after haveing the fog light run for a 1 minute or so. i come to touch my fog lamp ( the lens) its very hot. i dont think its normal, or is it?

It's normal. The lens on my fogs get fairly hot as well after being on for a few minutes.

yup, actually even with stock bulb it's very hot, that's just how halogen works. but it's ok, the housing is designed for that

Those bulbs are pretty bright so it is normal for the lens to be hot to the touch.
