After about 100 hrs, the HIDs begin to shift to white.

i wrote to autolamps-online and this is what they said:

"Hello Raymond

No there is no such thing as a 'break in period' what happens from day one
throughout the D2's life is that it goes through a colour shift and becomes
more blue as it goes through it's life so a 4100K lamp after say 500hrs will
be more blue than a new one but it is gradual and starts immediately and
continues throughout it's useful life.

I hope this helps you and answers your question.

Regards

Janet

A few weeks for driving at night will probably let your bulbs settle into a nice color.
