Will you sell the Bellof Arctic White SMD LED? Does this bulb look as blue as the 6000 k bulbs or is it more or less blue? I cant tell based on the picture of the bulb alone.

Thanks very much

IMO....6000K shines blue initially....then settles in at white w/ a bit of purple.

The Bellof Artic White SMD LED is blue....as the picture above shows.

Still interested?

Which bulb do you think will best match the OEM HIDs? I have a 99 GS4. Thanks.

Edit: Where's the best place to get the best prices on these bulbs?

For the stock HID bulbs...the most white is the best....probably the BJunion Superwhite LED.

You can get those in Taiwan. :D

LOL

How about me going to the $0.99 Store to buy some bulbs that are "Made in Taiwan"? Would that be the same?

Great post Pete - any ideas on longevity of the LEDs such as the above? LEDs are typically great, but thought I'd ask.

I'm replacing my front headlights and with the supercharger it is nearly impossible (make that impossible) to get to the bulbs on the passenger side with the blower and IC piping. I want whatever I put in there to last a LONG time.

My Polarg M6 finally blew in the front passenger side and gave me the push to get new lights (mine are fairly beat up despite cleaning with a PC and Meg's) since the front bumper will have to come off to replace the bulb anyway.

Any ideas on where to get the Bjunion superwhite in the US?

siniquezu 10-04-04 03:22 PM

Good luck Dave. I've been looking like a madman for them too.

hahhaa i know people are going to hate me, but why not just put in m4? :)

Dave....these high quality SMD LEDs should last awhile. For $30 a pair.....they better!!! Yah....the cheap ones....ie: 6-LED had some quality control problems....a few burnt out after a several months.

I have no clue where to get Bjunion SMD LEDs in the US. I've been searching high and low as well. I got mines from Taiwan...when my bro went to visit earlier this year.

If you got 4300K HIDs....the Bjunion Superwhites will be perfect...its really white.

If you got 6000K HIDs....i think the Bjunion Purple/Whites will match the best. I have NOT seen it yet, but Im trying to get my hands on a set of these. I already told my bro to get me some when he visits Taiwan again in April 2005. He's a car nut too....and seems to know which store to get them from in Taiwan.

If I'm not mistaken, M4 is a traditional bulb (just like M6), not LED right? I've been through three sets of M6s (over the last 3 or 4 years) and when I put the new lights in I can't afford to pull off the front bumper every year (or don't want to pay to) in order to replace the bulbs.. LEDs *should* have a much longer life.

I always thought my M6's were a decent match for the 4300K, maybe a little bluer. I liked the look, just don't like it when they burn out & definitely don't like trying to get that big ass bulb into the socket.

well, i don't have solid proofs, but imho, i have seen a lot of m6 blowing out on the GS high beam housing wedge. i think the reason is it's way too out of spec (running 18w in 5w), and it's running sooo close to the bottom of the housing. i have seen a blown m6 taken out, and it's all black on one side. that says a lot

i have had my m4 in my housing for over 2 yrs now (knocking wood) and it's good :)

btw, i am not trying to say led is bad or otherwise. it's supposed to be long life anyway. i just don't want people to think that polarg sux and they burn out easy coz' i don't think they are at all (i have like 20 polarg bulbs running for over 2 yrs and all good)

THE_CEO 10-31-04 08:22 PM

are any of these near the 6000k purple hue?...

For those interested, here's a picture of the Polarg M4 with the OEM HIDs.

bitkahuna 11-03-04 05:13 PM

I had M6's in my wedges and one burned out so I replaced both with M4's. Not at bright but still looks great.

PHML as far as your pic of Henry's lights, they tend to look diff (low beam and wedge) when first turned on, but after about 60 seconds they look VERY similar.

My newest LED bulb....

5-LED Matrix Super White
https://www.clublexus.com/gallery/da...atrix_5LED.jpg

This bulb has 1 large focus beam shining in the direction of the bulb....and 4 mini LEDs pointing to the sides.

I had to do some modification to the mini-LED side bulb positionings to get it thru the wedge opening. Luckily...the bulbs still work....(big sigh of relief)!!!!

How did I know you were going to give in? :p ;)

PHML 11-10-04 12:43 AM

BR1AN....

At first i was hesitant to try it....and sure enuff....when i got it...it didn't fit the wedge opening....but some bending helped.

Btw....I know u posted up pics of this bulb b4....on ur buddy's car, but pics was not in the GS wedge....so I had to try it.

Anyways....can you somehow move the 5-LED bulb pic up to the top....with the rest of them.

I tried editing that first post....but I got an error message saying i cant add anymore....or something like that....if not....just move this post to the 2nd spot....so that all the wedge pics are organized together.

Thanks bro.

The pics I posted were of my car with LOTB's digicam. I gotta admit the LED's look a lot better in the GS housing. :(

It's not possible to add any more pics to your original post since 10 pics to 1 post is the limit. And I also don't think it's possible to move your post up or down the thread...unless one of the admins know some tricks to it. What you can do though is maybe edit the pics so that you have combinations of 2 as 1 pic or combine them all together and re-post them as 1 huge pic.

PHML 11-10-04 12:57 AM

BR1AN....oh....my bad....thought the pics u posted was from a buddy's car....ooops.

OK...will try to do merge pics tomorrow...

aloha08isf 11-19-04 03:25 AM

phml,
u deserve props man in making those bulbs fit! and those new led bulbs look like a decent match (in the pics) for the 6000K hids owners....I need to see these in person :)

98sscamaro 01-26-05 12:06 AM

Bellof Arctic White SMD LED (Japan)
I bought these bulbs from pete a whille ago and was wondering if anyone might want to buy them from me. I only used them for about a week. I changed the stock HID bulbs to 6000k and wanted to get bulbs for the wedge that match better.
