hid costs
im pretty new to this club but completely into lexus info. i was wondering if anyone could help me find a good hid kit for my 98 gs 300. not too expensive but good quality. thanks for the help
if you want quality i would suggest the philips kits, usually run for around 450 to 480 shipped. i keep on forgetting the other sources, the only one i remember is jus4bulbs@yahoo.com

U come out better buying a set of oem hid lights for about the same price as a kit, Ive seen several for sell on ebay. If your lucky they'll come with ballasts and bulbs. All you'll need next is a wiring harness that you can make yourself or have someone make it for you, at around 40 bucks. The downside to using kits in halogen heads is all the glare and stray light. Ive had quit a few blind me here in la and it sucks. But if you do insist on getting a plug and play kit try to make some type of shield of aluminum to block stray light from shooting up. Heres and example of a casper shield. Ive seen people make their own out of aluminum cans or cooking foil take your pick.
