What i did with my 6 led was i bent the surrounding leds to point outward, hitting the reflector, and had the inner ones point out. That way, it makes the whole casing light up, and doesnt have a concentrated small light emmiting off it.
Can somone with the 9 LED see if they can bend them. They look really packed together with no room for movement.

You're not gonna fit them philly unless you take your headlights apart.

Omid...

I did the same thing to my 6-LED...but after a few months....a few LEDs would "burn out"....so I just threw them away. The 9-LED has a transparent plastic casing on the top so it cannot be bent....hopefully...it refracts some light to the sidewall too. I should be gettin mines today or tomorrow.

If you're talking about the Matrix 5 LED bulbs, yes, I've tried them. I'd say that the oval wide angle lense LEDs (purplish white) are a better match to 6000K than the Matrix 5 LEDs, which give off a more pure white color that would match 4100-4300K better.

Does it light up the housing better though? because it reflects off the reflector.

Yes it does, but it gives off a greener white-ish light in comparison to the oval wide angle lense LED.

LOL Pete, you're gonna have to wait till I get a digicam, or maybe till after the 24th if some bully/meathead/nerd boy brings his digicam that day.

Haha...just messin' with ya Pete, I knew you were in the process of linkin' the pics because I saw you upload them to the gallery.

I know the pics don't accurately depict the actual output/color of the LEDs...which one would you say matches your 6000K HIDs best? According to the pics, it looks like the super white 9 LED from CH Lau does?

Hopefully I'll have some pics of the Matrix 5 LED wedge bulb from autolumination up by tomorrow night.

LOL....dayam....Big Brother is watching!!

Cool...post up pic of Matrix bulb....very interested to see how they look. If possible....try taking similar pics like the ones I posted up.....no flash....regular auto mode....no night mode...cuz pics get over-exposed....and they look brighter than they truely are.....which is misleading.

IMO....yah...the 9-LED looks really good....but I haven't stepped back to take a really good look.

Pete
