Default Need HID bulb suggestions for 98 GS400

Alright, so my driver's side bulb is on it's way out the door, so I'm looking into getting new bulbs for both sides ASAP. Here are my questions:

1. What is the OEM bulb-type for a 98 GS400?
2. Should I go 6000K? Would going higher than that not make a big difference in light output?
3. What brand should I get?
4. Who should I go to for a good price on these bulbs?

Thanks in advance!

1. D2R (9006 if you have an aftermarket kit installed)
2. Definitely go with 6000K. Anything higher will give you a decrease in light output.
3. Philips
4. jus4bulbs@yahoo.com (as our lighting guru recommends )

brian you are fast

well if you want a good light output like stock, 4100k is stock and it's very good. imho it's yellowish so i would go with 6000k. love it

Haha, DirectTV!

Anyway, what's the difference between D2R and D2S? I've read about both, but don't know the differences between them and their advantages/disadvantages.

I've got to get some new bulbs by the weekend...my "One-Eyed Jack" look isn't cutting it with my GS.

Oh, and I've got OEM HID lighting for my GS, so I'm guessing I'm going with D2R or D2S bulbs. Just clarification on this and I'll be good to go!

Thanks for all the help!

d2r is for reflective housing
d2s is for projective housing

they are slightly different in the base, won't fit each other without a little mod. i would just stick with what's for your housing, the d2r

Okay, I got in touch with jus4bulbs@yahoo.com, but didn't realize he was in Taiwan and needs money orders to send out the bulbs.

Is there anyone ya'll would recommend in the states that have 6000K D2R bulbs at a fair price?

Thanks for the continued help.

Carson Toyota is having a group buy on 6000K bulbs right now. It's not as cheap as jus4bulbs, but still a fair price for OEM quality bulbs.

Thanks Brian, but that's a little too much for me. I'm going to stop by my local Toyota dealership tomorrow and see if my friend can work something out for me.

I'll keep ya'll updated!

Haha, nothing at all, man. I'm Chinese myself. It's just the time it'll take to get there and then get back here to the states.

I'm looking to fix this ugliness ASAP.
