Default '96 ES300 HID Retro Complete

Thought I'd post some pics of my ES HID retro with clear corners as well as clear tails. E46 projectors, 4100K Phillips bulbs. Comments weclomed!

electro, good job on the HID retro task. The clear tails look nice and clean, and they go well with the rest of the body color

Very nice. I'm a fellow '96 ES owner who only wishes he had the Dremel skills to retrofit some E46 projectors into my housings I also had a very difficult time opening my spare taillamp (I have an extra, slightly cracked left tail), so I scrapped my clear tails plans, too.

A quick question: It looks like you were able to keep the stock projector shrouds and just replace the optics themselves. How hard was it to mount the E46s into the OEM shroud? Did you need to fabricate some kind of trim ring around the E46 projector?

I dont know much about the lighting stuff, so I was just wondering what you gain when you retrofit different projectors on there?

Cleaner beam that fits D2s bulbs. And that cool purple flicker with 4100K bulbs.
