Adam Carolla Test Drives The 2011 Lexus LFA
Part 1 of the review.
Adam talks so much sense. His take on horsepower wars and the missing visceral experience as well as differentiating between cheap steel brakes versus expensive brakes was spot on:
p.s. Notice at 9:23 the Lexus agent mentions 'Yamaha' being stamped on the side of the engine with the signature of the person who built the engine.

Had no idea he was into cars. He definitely sounds like he knows what he is talking about. I agree with his point on the horsepower issue. It is all about the feel of the 552 hp rather than the actual numbers. Maybe he might buy one.

Adam was actually supposed to be one of the hosts for top gear usa iirc.
Thanks for posting that up. Some interesting tidbits about the LFA and he seemed very impressed.
Adam is a real car enthusiast. I remember hearing him talking about owning and racing Datsun 510s and being surprised he was so into Japanese performance cars. He is not much of a fan of American cars and mainly into Japanese and European performance cars. I saw the episode where he got a Lamborghini Miura and had some custom work done to it.
Adam would have been a perfect host for TOP GEAR America and it is unfortunate he is not on it as he is funny and very knowledgeable of cars. He was on Howard Stern a few months ago explaining how he was set to do Top Gear but when it came time to start shooting for it he was obligated to shooting a pilot for a network at the same time and was unable to be on Top Gear and he was devastated.

I agree. I have seen Adam Carolla on many TV shows and he is very funny and also read his interview on cars where he talked about his cars. He is a big car enthusiast.
He would have been a perfect host for the American TopGear with his charms and humor.
