The Nürburgring Editions are now auctioning consistently close to under $1 million and climbing. The standard LFA due to quantity in the US, has kind of stalled out at around $400k - $500k right now, but eventually will start going up in a few years. If you can negotiate one of the low mileage and low-$400k one's for a price that works for you, I would say get it even if it is above MSRP. It will be worth significantly more in a few years.

Love your Supra. I have a 71 240z which is also a classic JDM car.
There was LFA priced at 389 on Autotrader about a month ago but only lasted a week or so. You could wait and cross you fingers or try to negotiate on one of the ones listed in the low 400s. I have to agree with Rolla that they will only be rising in price as the years tick away.
The comparison the the LC is laughable They are totally different cars not even remotely close except in their physical resemblance. And yes I have driven the LC which is a nice cushy DD. Waiting for the LCF to replace my SL63 AMG.

Also, seems that all the publicly for sale cars are $450K range or more.
We might have seen the last of the sub 400K cars for sale - unless it's a unique circumstance.
What do you all think?

That is awesome. Hope it works out for you. Please post pics, if you end getting the car. Are you keeping the Supra or selling it (if that lead works out)?

Yeah, definitely the days of the $370 - $390K LFAs are gone. Believe it or not, circa 2013 - 2014, some used LFAs were going for $300k - $320k and one of them dipped as low as $275K at one point, but then it steadily has been climbing up to low-to-mid $400k since then.

grr.
deal fell through. dealer went MIA.
I'm going to take my time and find exactly what I want:
a 1 owner LFA, directly from the owner - so I can talk to him/her about the car and not rush the process.
not too picky on color - don't really like yellow and don't want red seats with red carpet red doors red center etc.
other than that, i'd like a 1 owner car priced fairly.
thanks.

The one I suggested to you that was near me finally sold after about a year on the market for an ask of 439K. I think potential buyers such as yourself are starting to realize it may be time to move on the ones in the low to mid 4s since quite a few are now asking in the 5s plus. Before I bought mine I was given the runaround by the dealers who wanted big offers or they were content to just sit on them. They are not enthusiasts, but just know they are sitting on an appreciating asset.

It seems they are sitting on the market a while, but sellers may end up getting their asking price.
I wonder if the 439K one sold for near that?
thanks for the info.
