I always thought these two were the best sounding engines of any production cars ever made. This video confirms it (although I prefer the LFA sound!).

 

LFA also beat the Carrera GT in a comparo by Evo UK based on the engine sound, response, interior and chassis balance. LFA V10 is smaller and more higher strung as it revs about 1100 rpm higher (rev limit of 9500 rpm vs 8400 rpm).

The Carrera GT has always been one of my favorite sounding cars. I was pleasantly surprised Porsche could pull off such a nice sounding engine given their history of working with non-V10s.
