Very interesting. I'm dying to know what they've done to it as far as performance and handling goes, besides the appearance.

Potentially, Lexus is working on a new version of LFA for the last 8 months. The prototypes appeared last fall testing around Nurburgring and then disappeared as LFA production wrapped up.

Now after october 2012, the LFA AD-X prototype re-emerged testing around Nurburgring.

If they make it, I hope it keeps the LFA name.

No way on the twin turbo. It is absolutely the worst thing that can be done to the LFA.

It will neither have the telepathic response LFA is famous for, nor the sound (more like a vaccum cleaner hissing sound) and also will be lucky to rev over 7000 rpm. Not to mention all of the added weight at the front (kills the whole point of building a V10 with the weight of less than a V6).

If anything, it will probably be a slightly bored out version of the V10 to 5.0 or 5.2 liters and producing probably around 620 - 630 HP and then an electric motor hybrid to add another 70 - 80 HP.

The LFA probably already makes more power than claimed. They could get more power easily with the reconfigured exhausts these cars run. Would bet on more downforce as well.
