The life of a long trucker must be miserable, including the folks that haul LFA in the Toyota racing big rig.

I work near a big Ferrari. Maserati, Aston Martin, Lotus and McLaren dealer, Lake Forest Sports Cars.

In the winter we play tennis across the street from the dealer, starting at 6AM and multiple times I have seen an 18 wheeler exotic car transportation truck sitting out there at the crack of dawn.

Yea, you're right. I ship a lot of my cars around and it's hard work on those guys. Often the trailers are longer than a standard 18 wheeler and they have so many considerations because of loading and unloading issues. It gets tricky with exotics because of low clearances, wide tires, etc. A group of us took on a whole truck to and from Monterey last year and we were there for the load and off load in both directions and it was amazingly complicated. Often these guys have balance issues and have to move cars around just to offload the one car that needed clearance or had a touchy clutch issue. It's not easy work. Reliable Carriers makes the drivers pay the deductible ($10k) if they ding an exotic and stuff can easily happen- especially with wheels and noses.

We had one truck that only hauled exotics and had a fixed floor double deck, flat from side to side and he had a very easy time, but all the others, really have to work. Then you're dealing with shifting loads, traffic, driving limitations, etc. It's all tough work!

Flipside just confirmed in another thread that the brown car in the US is at Herb Chamber's shop in Sharon MA. For folks not in the area, Herb is the Alpha male car dealer in the region.

The worst news is it does have an orange interior.

On top of that, Chambers has the car list on Ebay for $389K (probably list based on the interior specs). Is this the first LFA to hit Ebay (I think it is)?

Hopefully Wong will come back on and tell us why either Herb specd this mess or perhaps a customer did and walked when the car showed up.

That's actually a very in color right now and I'll bet it looks better in person. The big problem is that it is on Ebay. There should be a rule against that for all new exotic dealers set by the MFGs- no auction sites, period. It's harmed Lamborghini and it hurts the image of the brand.

So it is brown with orange interior? what possessed them to pick this color in the first place? No wonder why nobody wants it.

good point, selling it on ebay, that probably won't go well. i have also seen a few lamborghini (including reveton) listed on ebay before. do other manufacturers have anything about this? this is painful

If you're an 80's SD Padres fan or Cleveland Browns fan, this is the perfect combo.

Flipside,

To your point about a Browns fan.

Ex Brown Gerard Warren is on the Patriots now so maybe he is our mystery buyer/not buyer.
