They do expect the cars to have LC, but not sure about its use.

Most of the particpants will be owners, spouses and sons and some friends of owners.

New fun fact, some of the owners are women and they are bringing their husbands.
Hot pink LFA..... FTW?

Default Confirmed

My spot is confirmed on the earlier part of the program. I will try to keep the cars intact for those attending the latter parts.

I received my confirmation for the 14th.

If 07 does not wreck all the cars, I will try to take some pics and write some notes.

If he does wreck the cars, I will take the vibe up to Canada and play demo derby against his vibe.

Most definitely. A friend suggested a helmet cam in HD with surround sound. I don't know whether such a device existed?

S2000, that is funny... maybe your wife would change her mind on the LFA if you buy her a lesson too?

07, I think a day at SafariWest and a couple of yoga classes is on your itinerary.
Driving the LFA on the track would not make her top 10 to the xth power list.

What was funny for me today was, just after hearing from Shawn that there are lady LFA owners to be, the Paris Hilton stuff came out.

A helmet cam is probably not as good for in-car footage because it'll be very shaky, although some viewers like such a setup because they feel it gives a more accurate frame of what the driver is actually looking at (e.g., into apexes, etc.).

I'll plan on bringing my GoPro and mount it on the windshield, although I haven't asked if it's allowed yet.

It will be very exciting to read all of your reviews, video footages and some stats and figures etc. and discuss details. Most of us cannot get enough of this car. This is going to be amazing.

Arrow

Correction: The Orange LFA is now back to its prior Pearl Gray color...

Unless they change it again before next weeks Driving Event

So sounds like the re-painted now Orange one, the Pearl Yellow one and more than likely that white one that showed up in Canada last week..

Just stating in advance, this is my opinion..

Gengar, I think everyone will be thankful if you did that. For an in car perspective, mount a camera on the rear glass, looking forward. It gives a great, panoramic view. Check out this video.

Default Update

For someone who has never been to a race track before, this event was a blast today. While I don't have any reference/bench mark for this type of events, I have to say Lexus did a fantastic job in organizing it.
Summary of the event:
- There are 3 LFAs, a black on black/red (Production unit, brand new with 320 miles on the clock), yellow (did not arrive until late morning), and pearl gray.
- Being the first day, we had only 4 students, and we were out numbered by our ultra cool driving instructors.
- We get to take turn driving the black and the gray cars, just to see the differences. The production unit reponses are sharper in comparison to the prototype with over 13K miles on it.
- Lexus has professional video production crew to make in car video of our runs. Can't wait to see the results.
- As advertised, we did the acceleration/braking (0-140-0 mph), slalom and cornering (in IS-Fs). We did not do the skidpad, not sure if it was intentional...
- Then we run laps around the tracks. This was the best part once I got the hang of things.

I will post more observations, thoughts, and info that I received while at the event. All I can say is that I have no regret whatsoever with my purchase after learning to track the car.
