Performance car U.K (DEC 09)...
"To compare it to the way a Ferrari 430 Scuderia likes to be taken by the scruff of the neck is high praise indeed, but that's the level of engagement Lexus has built into the LFA".
It engages the driver completely in the process.

Find me a car with the following for $375k
560 hp V10 that still makes 14/20 mpg
3268lb curb weight
65% carbon fiber chassis
carbon ceramic brakes
unmatched interior build quality
Limited to 500 units
Aston DBS, Ferarri 599/612 are its closest competitors and these cars weigh almost 4000 lbs and have inferior performance for about the same price. I dunno how you expect these features to be priced within a $110k R8 price.

are people still whining about the price?

Pole Position
The guy who owns a CCX can barely drive it around Fort Lauderdale, he rips it from light to light and thats it.
First problem getting a hypercar is money, once you solve that your second problem is going to be what are you going to do with the car.
You might have a hypercar but you still have everyday driving problems if you plan to drive it and not let it rot in a garage.
Key is in the balance and that is exactly what Lexus achieved here. Supercar performance with everyday usability that even returns a decent MPG. Only Ferrari, Porsche, GTR, Corvette and Evora (to some extent) do this. NSX was the master of it!
Almost everyone can build a hardcore racer but can they build one that will be comfy when you want it, have cruising speeds when you want it and thats easy to park?

I like his comment about the car collectors (ie super rich bastards) should have this in their garage.
I really think Lexus should have made this a 600 hp car and made about 1000 of these instead of 500.
