Pole Position
That nose was the closest to F1 nose I've ever seen on any road car. Great adaption but it was clear even back then that due to safety regulation in EU it would not be possible to have a nose sticking out from the rest of the bumper.

Pretty cool presentation of where it all began, apparently it started well before the concept was shown. Prototypes were being built as early as 2000.

Exactly. This is just the introduction. Only 500 units of the coupe version will be made and sold. Then I hope to see at least 400 units of the convertible/roadster to be made and sold and finally a hybrid version of say 300 units to be made and sold...we shall wait and see...
well i appreciate it, but don't follow it. and F1 is run by a narcissistic lunatic.

So with the limited run of 500 & dealer markups, about $400K with taxes & delivery! hhhmmmm. Is it true that 1 car will be availiable per dealership?
This car in this price range is too expensive.

Okay, i'm finally back from Miami. It was a very rough 48 hours but I finally got enough rest. LF A = Sensory Overlad....including all the info we got during the technical presentation. I'll be happy to answer questions soon. I have video and pics from yesterday's event at Homestead. I had an opportunity to drive and ride hot laps with two very important people. One is very famous race car driver and the other is the number one Toyota Motor Corporation test driver.
More to come.
To sum up what I experienced yesterday. LFA = YEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

The order process looks completely different that for other cars.
You do not get on a delaer list and there does not appear to be dealer allocation (unless that is an invisible activity).
You put in your request to be one of the 500 customers and must be chosen by Lexus. i put my request in yesterday and will recieve montly updates and a yes or no by February 2010.
You purchase (actually lease for 24 months with a purchase option) through Lexus Financial Services).
I do not think the dealer is really involved in setting prices.
I have been consulting my favorite dealer in NJ who said discounts are out the window.
The dealer you choose will take your initial desposit once you are given a slot. You have 14 days to decide and pony up $10K.
At a later date you meet with the LFA specialist at the dealer to decide how you want your bespoke vehcle. There is also a second payment of $50K though the tiiming of this was less clear to me.

I won't mind having that roadster concept turned into the next SC though, with the same headlights as the concept

Flipside,
First of all, lucky you for the LFA seat time.
Question, is there a hatch/trunk? I have not seen any pics behind the front seats showing a shelf or something. If there is a hatch it would be interesting to see how it works with the retractable wing back there.
