The first SC was pretty well-received as "the Lexus sports coupe" and purchased by Harrison Ford, Michael Jordan, et al. Similarly, the second GS was well-received by enthusiasts. The second SC was successful but took a more cruiser direction with the convertible hardtop...a 3SC with SC-F and a 4GS with GS-F would match well with the LFA I think...even perhaps a FT-86 derived GT-F.

I'm sorry but the 2ns Gen SC was a disappointment for me, it had chic car written all over and lost its testosterone appeal from the outstanding 1st Gen. A body kit and wheels manned it upped but just had that wine & cheese, mall shopping, Bev Hills thing going for it. Yes it sold well and won awards for durability etc. I really hope the 2014/3rd Gen SC will go the way of the 1st Gen and an SC-F would be a great way to go.
These SC renderings don't look bad at all.

To me this is what I would like to see....
Next SC=mini-LFA...or a very sporty GT
LS C luxury coupe like the SC 430 but bigger
ES C luxury coupe
GS C sport luxury coupe, 6 series fighter
IS C sport luxury coupe, clearly 3 series coupe fighter
Though a FT-86 Lexus would be a mini mini LFA which would be awesome

Most I would expect if ANY coupes is an IS and GS coupe. It's funny that Lexus decided to come out with a convert IS first, since that definitely wasn't needed, but I guess they figured they could hit 2 birds with one stone... Oh well
Oh yeah and they need to slap some Lexus badges on a FT86, sell it for 10K more and call it a Z4 killer. And I'm serious when I say that lol

While I think Lexus needs more coupes, I think that is an absurd amount, and for the volume that they'd sell, pointless (a small roadster, a mid-size and a GT would be fine IMO). The SC is/was already somewhat a GS coupe, and if done right could easily be a Sporty GT/M6 fighter/Mini LFA (please see Jaguar XK/XKR.. turned up a notch of course).

2011 Lexus LFA - Road Test
An epic soundtrack makes this rolling blockbuster an experience you won't soon forget.

The LFA is a rare treat (and an expensive one, at $375,000 a copy), and will be a rare sight on American roads. Hand-built at Toyota City’s Motomachi plant at a rate of 20–21 cars per month, the LFA will have a total production run of 500; of those, about 170 are slated for the U.S. So exclusivity is guaranteed, along with an elevated heart rate every time the V-10 screams to redline.
