Added some pics of the LF-A interior, and some closeups of the felt fabric on the tennis ball car, so you can see how tennis-bally it really is. Haha...
The LF-A interior doesn't look that well developed yet. Still very concept car-y. It's just a sporty looking steering wheel and a center console that probably does something very cool in theory, but in practice so far is just a hunk of shiny black plastic.
The downside to the felt is definitely maintenance/cleaning. But the upside - no dings, scratches, swirl marks, etc! Rain wouldn't be too nice though...
The IS actually wasn't "painted" at all. It was literally the felt material from a tennis ball, stretched all over the IS body, then they put the badges back on outside the fuzzy felt. I should have taken some closer pictures. At first I was thinking, man, that is an ugly color... Then I realized it's not paint at all... the whole thing was fabric!
That's a really cool idea. A true "eye-catcher" to go along with the showstopper right next to it.

LOL, but then it would be all brown like an old tennis ball. I would be dying to touch it myself...but if it were all brown and grimy maybe not...

From the few pics I've looked at so far, I kind of wondered myself how it all worked. So it's still missing a lot of the "gadgetry" that we all expect of a Lexus...especially one of this caliber? I'm sure it will be amazing once finished...if finished.
Ya, I noticed old-school ignition. There aren't even any Lexus models where you can still get physical turn-key ignition right? I wonder if the underpinnings are a Toyota model or something... That plus the blank plastic slab where the electronics should be makes me think they haven't implemented much of the design yet, aside from the stunning sheet metal and wheels.
