LS1 SWAP 2GS 2000 GS300 for sale REDUCED

Ok, I built this back in '12-'13, drove it a little, ended up just keeping it in the garage most of the time as life got in the way. Now I've got a kid and a nice new yukon denali, and the car is getting pretty ignored. I think someone out there might want to have a fun GS at a great price. You can't build this car for twice as much as I'll sell it for :).

It's not perfect. It's a car with 190k miles on the chassis and a TON of money dumped into it for the swap and parts. If nobody wants to take the car at a great price, I'm gonna part it out. Interior is pretty good, needs to be cleaned up but it's grey leather and not ruined. The steering wheel should be recovered. The front end bushings should be replaced, but it isn't critical. I might have this done by the time I sell it.

Everything is tinted. Everything. (have to untint the side markers for inspection :( )

I'm not 100% going to list every part. I'll put some effort into it, but if someone is serious about buying it we can talk details. I'll be completely honest as I don't want someone to be surprised. Prices are what I paid for them. Labor was all done by me, worked at a performance shop for years, built many cars.

All the parts on the car were built to handle 700+HP . The transmission, brakes, driveshaft, etc. I was going to do twin turbos, never got around to it, no room.

Stereo is crazy loud, head unit is old but works. Amps and subs need a trim panel to look good, built into a steel cage and VERY securely mounted. Also has a storage safe under the amp floor :)

Engine is a 50-60K mile LS1 from a 2004 GTO $3500
Performabuilt level 2 4l60E 10.5" billet tq converter 2800 stall $3000
Color was white, now plastidip gunmetal, with a black roof. Probably needs another coat to freshen it up. Wheels are plastidip gold, needs a touchup, I'll give whatever dip I have left for it.
Wheels are 20" tsw nurburgring, really good shape a few little scuffs. 10" in the rear, 8.5" in the front I believe. $1000 Tires should be replaced from age.
BC BR coilovers $900
Supra TT front and rear brakes with DBA4000 brake rotors and stainless lines $800
Manual brake booster conversion (no abs issues) $300
Swift racing gs300 dual fuel pump hanger $400
Supra TT auto 3.76 LSD rear end $700
Custom racing driveshaft $600
Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator and gauge $200
dual walbro GSS342 fuel pumps $200
3" stainless dual exhaust with X Pipe racing cats and magnaflow mufflers with big tips. $tons of money
LS harness, custom wiring, ecu, fuse boxes, etc $500 (probably much more)
Edelbrock long tube headers $500
Giant radiator, fans, oil cooler for transmission, lines, fittings, etc $1000+

Car parts approx = $15k

RE Sxx 12" subs $500
Alpine 2500w mrx-m240 sub amp $500
Alpine mrxf65 4ch amp $350
2 XS power D3400 batteries $500
Hybrid audio imagine speakers front and rear $450
0 gauge wire throughout, great terminals everywhere $too much
jvc head unit LCD $300
Tons of sound deadening $500

Stereo parts approx = $3k

Probably well over 20k just in parts, not including the car. Lots of little stuff goes into a build and i can't even begin to add it up.

I'm looking for $12,000 OBO. I'd like to sell it quickly, so make me offers. Car is in St George, UT.

If you want me to post specific pics, just ask.

There are plenty of people I've helped on this forum, or bought / sold parts with. I hope someone can give this car the attention it deserves!
Clean title, currently on a temp in utah and I'm waiting for the utah title. Wasn't planning on selling it, thought I'd register it here so I could drive it.

Thanks for looking!!

Dropped to 12k. Make me an offer, I've got room in the garage to part it out, just don't really have the time!

Hell of a deal good luck with sale from a fellow LS owner.

Dscustoms 08-01-17 06:42 AM

The fun for me was in building it, but its been years. I'm losing my a$$ on parts, as usual. Someone will get a pretty silly car cheap!

Dscustoms 08-08-17 04:14 PM

bump, it's coming home soon. Nobody ready for a V8 swap?

kowala 08-10-17 12:23 AM

oh boy this is so tempting!! How's the paint under the dip? any interior shots?

Dscustoms 08-10-17 11:28 AM

Paint was 15 yr old pearl white. If you don't want the dip, it probably needs to be painted. There were dings and scratches that I repaired and primed before spraying the dip. I've got a few gallons of white dip you can have with it :)
Some interior shots on the imgur link above. It's solid, but not "clean". It's also almost back from the shop and runs great again.

It's a fun car. It's not absurdly fast because of the stereo stuff and sound deadening, but it's fast enough. It's also LOUD. People will ask you what the hell engine is in it :P

Ok, a few updates. Car is back from the shop and works GREAT!! Ditched the MSD coils which were causing issues, and a few were dead. All new OE coils now, and it purrs. Took it out tonight for a 70 mile drive, perfect. It's fast, and loud, and better than when I first built it!

Here's a few pics from under the car. I removed some pictures from the album of an oil pan, that was a different car lol.

If someone wants to buy this, they will get a hell of a fun car, cheap.

Have functioning A/C? Any more recent vids?

Dscustoms 08-13-17 05:12 AM

A/C worked, but has a leak. Now that I passed the safety inspection and got it running great again, I'm going to find an ac shop to get that figured out. The whole system is in there and new when I built it. What do you want videos of?

chnco 08-14-17 06:44 PM

Just a simple walk around video and idle/rev

Dscustoms 08-17-17 06:48 AM

Bump! I'll make a video today or tomorrow

Dscustoms 08-25-17 11:36 AM

Ok, We finally tracked down the fuel issue. One pump was totally dead, and the other was crapping out when it got hot. Car now has All new delco ignition coils, and two brand new Walbro GSS342 fuel pumps. It'll support whatever power adders you could want! New fuel pumps and coils make it idle dead smooth, and it's quieter now.

Here are some videos, A startup and idle, plus a walkaround the car.

Thanks!

Dscustoms 08-26-17 04:09 PM

Need to sell this, so let me know your offers. I'm in a tight spot right now.

Dscustoms 08-31-17 12:01 PM

What's a price that might get someone interested? This is a very fun car!
