the two engine mounts are Creative Steel custom Urethane isolators.
the ride is beyond perfect. It drives like the engine came in the car like factory. I have stance coilovers and sway bars.
My dad has hated every car I have owned because they were too stiff and hurt his back and bouncy. This is the ONLY car he is mesmerized by, because it literally drives and feels like it should. solid and you dont "feel" anything such as shaking, clunking, bouncing, rocking. There is no chatter.
However this is my interpretation and everyone likes different things.....the engine doesnt move at all. when idling, the car is solid and sooooooo smooth. when under load, there is no rocking or shifting of the engine. And when turning or under hard acceleration, there is no chatter like a B-series in a civic with a mount kit.
its sort of a hard question to answer without telling someone, jump in lets go for a ride and you will see. Hope I answered it so others can understand.

Mike, just curious if you have used the OEM style motor mounts as isolators? I had brand new ones so I used them for my build. Its a great fit and seems to be holding up so far.
Thanks,
David

Is this swap the same as the 5.3L.
Any links to a build would be nice. the more details the better. Going in a 1st gen GS300.
I don't have the money for a LS1/2 But I can get a LM7 for a good price. Plus the tuning options with the HPtuners is WIN.

ls swap handling with air suspension?
hey Mike,
This thread has my attention. I was looking at the Aristo Swap before, but i like this Ls swap much better, LOL.
Reason is, I live in Cali and I want it smog legal.
My question is: I see you bring up handling and ride with the Stance coil overs.
What's the big difference in weight on the GS300 and the LS engines? My GS is not used for any type of racing. I just like to ride low and park it on the ground.
I'm on air suspension, will the handling be too sloshy or handle like a water bed? LOLOL

I can say, my GS with a LSx swap weighs less than a factory stock GS.
