1996 LS400 with 58,000 original miles -- $7200
I'm selling my in-laws Beige Metallic LS400 for them, as they are advancing in years and have decided to go down to just one car.
I've posted a link to my Craigslist ad that I am running locally (mods, if that's not okay just let me know and I'll find a host for the pics).
A quick history of the car -- I'm originally from Clearwater, FL, and this car was originally purchased new by an elderly family friend in Clearwater. At some point around 2003, I began detailing the car for the original owner. It wasn't much work, as the car was always garaged and had less than 20,000 miles on it at the time. In 2006, the original owner offered to sell the car to me. At the time, I had 2 kids going to college soon, so I passed. However, my mother-in-law's brother bought the car. He had a winter residence in Clearwater, and the car stayed in FL (though he registered the car in NH, where he lived permanently). He drove the car sparingly when he visited Florida, and my in-laws would drive it when he was not in town.
He passed away several years ago, and his widow offered the car to my in-laws. They've had it garaged since then, and I continued to detail it along with their other car. The only disappointment was the failure of the paint on the tops of the bumpers. The paint has not completely burned off, but it has begun to fade. Otherwise, the original paint is in stunning condition.
This is a rare chance to buy an elderly-owned, never-smoked-in, no-kid, no-pet LS400 (having detailed hundreds of cars for kid/pet owners, that speaks volumes). The interior surfaces are as soft now as they were the first time I detailed it. There are 23 pictures on my Craigslist ad, and I will be happy to accommodate any requests for pictures that you'd like to see. The car currently is at my home near Raleigh, NC, and the signed title is with me as well.
I'm driving the car occasionally just to keep it fresh, so the mileage will likely rise from the current 58,121. The car has never been compounded (as there was never any need), and has received 3 coats of Klasse SG every six months for the last 12 years. I will likely be repeating that process again this weekend, as it was January of this year when I lasted detailed the car.
Comes with two factory Lexus keys, along with remotes. Also has the original owner's manual and never-touched First Aid kit under the driver's seat.
