According to auction data, $53k was avg selling price 1 years ago and that $51-52k would have been a great deal back then. In 2016 this was priced $60k+ in this thread....thats why no one bought it. If it seats for another year, price will be $45k or lower.

If it helps, I do check what's out there within 500 miles occasionally and there's a lot of downsides of looking at nearby options priced in the high 40s.

Maybe because if you look at cars.com 2015 RCFs start around $45k and a little more with similar mileage. NADA retail is $52k and auction/tradein is $44-47k. So $52 is just a normal price, RCFs depreciated alot.

I'm just thinking that regardless of what auction figures and trade-in figures are now, I don't see this car going much lower than low 40s for a while and if you snag a great mileage great condition one and only depreciate 8-10k over the next few years, you're depreciating as much as any new car off the lot and it's almost pointless to sell at this point if we don't stick to our figures.

I think we all know that that 45k isn't the starting point for a clean titled low mileage one. No point in checking nation-wide ranges of listings if that's what we're going to observe.

There are so many people that price their cars at the highest and then get screwed....and its so frustrating to sell a car (or anything for that matter) and lower the price every month etc. Thats why you have to price the car right and make it close to the lowest acceptable value, get it sold quick and call it a day.....
It was exactly the same story with one the recent 2014 low miles ISFs sales, almost a year for sale and owner ended up trading it in for a fraction of original asking price.
Update: I didn't want to bring this thread back up, but only 2 months past....I just looked at cars.com website and there are bunch of RCFs listed at $45k and 2 of them are Lexus dealer CPOs with 100k warranty. I was personally looking at ISFs but at this price point in almost makes RCFs a great buy compared to ISF. Only if rear seats folded.....I wouldn't think twice.

Just stumbled onto this ad and wanted to say, I have a special place in my heart for an Orange car since I happen to have an orange ride too
OP, you have a very interesting choice of cars for a garage stable (assuming those are all your cars)....why did you pick an Orange RC-F of all cars just curious? You seem to be doing quite well - lovely house!
Good luck in your sale!

$45k avg past 30 days looks spot on. Many local dealers add $5k on top of that and call it retail Smart Price (none negotiable). But then there are dealers that have them sitting for months and instead of taking it to auction they are willing to sell with much smaller markups. I would put it $49.9 everywhere (below 50 is more eye catching), unless you really don't care when you sell it.
With that house of yours I wouldn't care if I sold it for $40k $10k should be pocket change
