everybody pays sales tax in there state. when they title the car.

If they purchase from a dealership, yes. Private party, no.

Very clean IS....wondering how there would be no sales tax from a private party....are you saying you could claim it as a gift?

After researching this due to your inquiries, it appears this may only apply to people who live in AZ. Tax may apply if you live out of state; however, tax will NOT apply if you live in AZ. Thanks.

Tax always applies even if its private party because when you go to register it in ur name the dmv will charge u the fee according to the purchase price, which is a sort of tax. Where at the dealer the transfer it to ur name and the fee is includded in the 5 grand u mentioned in taxes

I've purchased many vehicles private party in AZ (including one just the other week) and not once have I paid tax, or even been asked by the MVD the purchase price.

Perhaps these things you guys are citing apply to out of state purchases. They will not apply if the purchaser is in AZ.
