Thanks for the inside dope about the CC
This makes a ton of sense as the IS convertible mule recently seen was noted to have New GS suspension components
Any more dope if the CC will come in convertible form and with AWD?

During the LF-CC’s North American at the 2012 SEMA Show, Lexus Marketing Boss Brian Bolain offered almost every possible detail on an upcoming performance two-door vehicle without necessarily confirming the production model. The new model will replace the outgoing SC and will most likely be offered with an IS-F Coupe nomenclature.
When talking about the sports car’s exterior design, Bolain said that the LF-CC Concept is a clear indication of what the future model will look like, especially when it comes to the monoform grille which will first be used in the upcoming 2014 IS F-Sport sedan. Also, the upcoming performance coupe will feature the company’s new signature Spindle Grille recently seen on the new GS sedan.
"Design is not something we’ve ever been given credit for. Design has got to become one of our hallmarks. With LF-LC and LF-CC we’re starting to prove to outsiders we can do it."
The future IS-F Coupe’s power source is still under consideration and Bolain confirmed that everything is possible, starting from a four-cylinder engine all the way up to a V8 engine.

Is this a Hybrid Engine?
"Lexus Trademarks RC 350 for Upcoming Coupe
Posted by krew on November 6th, 2012
Lexus has trademarked RC 350 in Australia, which could hint at the very first details of the production coupe based on the LF-CC concept.
Let’s break down the name digit-by-digit:
R: While trying to guess what the R stands for is pure guesswork, it does provide one key detail — this new coupe will stand on its own as a separate model, and not be tied together with either the IS or GS.
C: No mystery here — C is for coupe.
350: The 3.5L 2GR-FSE V6 is a workhorse — the same engine from the IS 350 & GS 350 will be offered with this new coupe. This would also indicate a coupe based on the LF-CC and not the LF-LC — I don’t think the production LF-LC would be offered with a V6.
This discovery comes only days after NX 200t & NX 300h were discovered in North American and Australian trademark databases, and suggest that a massive expansion of the Lexus lineup over the next couple years.
(FYI: The RC 350 trademark was filed in Australia on November 2, 2012, under #1524186.)"

RC could stand for Recreational Coupe.
I do feel Lexus should not create a separate model for the coupe but make it an IS coupe. As Lil4X once stated the "brand recognition" for the IS built over two generations is big. Creating a new model such as RC 300h, RC 350 and RC F, no one is going to recognize it and it's gonna take awhile for the general public to get used to this new model.
Either way I can't wait for this new coupe to come out...

what I was hoping for. If that happens. Price range is the
question. With the 3.5 L engine, I would guess it starts around
50-55,000 base. Thoughts?

Lexus Enthusiast Today:
"Colum Wood from Autoguide recently talked to Lexus USA national marketing manager Brian Bolain about the brand’s future plans for the LF-CC & LF-LC concepts:
Pointing towards the future, Bolain highlights the LF-CC and the LF-LC Concepts…
Bolain confirmed that the LF-LC isn’t yet confirmed for production, though the, “outcry has been tremendous.”
Two-door planning at Lexus does, however, stop with these two cars says Bolain. When asked if the Toyota luxury brand might consider an additional model, perhaps to compete with cars like the Mercedes SLK or BMW Z4, he commented that Lexus has no plans to, “flood the market with coupes.”
With one coupe sitting between the IS & GS and another coupe positioned at the top of the lineup with (or even above) the LS, Lexus should be able to satisfy the majority of drivers looking for a two-door car — anything more would likely overload the lineup.
One other point from the AutoGuide story:
Bolain also says that while Lexus has, “no timeline for the introduction of lithium ion,” the brand hopes to have it confirmed for when (and if) the LF-LC coupe makes it into production."

I didn't catch the part about
a convertible before:
"Scheduled to be launched in 2015, the vehicle will be offered in both coupe and convertible formats featuring modular rear-wheel drive platform used in GS and IS models."
