What about the so called "IS500" car that was supposed to be shown ? . Edmunds is so full of **** someone should beat there *** for giving wrong information. Toyota is starting to make me upset with no interest in making a two door sports car for the masses. I have been holding off on buying a Z for two years no hoping and waiting for something from Toyota. I think I might just make the plunge.

Well the news says the new LS will appear, but it did not say the IS500 won't. They can always surprise us at the actual press conference. So hold your disappointment just yet, though I'm not exactly holding my breath either.

It really dissapoints me that Toyota/Lexus has no interest in making an affordable sub 30k two door sports car. Is the Z and G35c invisible to Toyota ? those cars are such an incredible success story I was sure that maybe Toyota has something to show those cars. The IS is a fantastic car but I want a two door .

What's the point of being in F1 so you can make a LF-A okkk I mean how many people can really afford the LF-A certainly not me. Maybe when Iam sixty something year old and retired I can finally afford to buy a LF-A. Arrrrgh

They do offer a sub-$30K two door car - it's called the Toyota Solara!

I like the idea of Lexus building a coupe, but not one that's going to be affordable to the masses.
Lexus is Lexus. Dipping downmarket, IMO, is silly. I personally don't care for cars like this. Ex- MB C-hatch, BMW 1-series, Audi A3, etc...
Leave the inexpensive cars for the inexpensive brands, IMO. Good things will come to those who wait, and if you want a car with an expensive logo on the hood, wait until you can afford a proper one or buy it used.
My two-cents.

It is an good thing for Toyota that many of their new cars could be called mini Lexus's...

So I assume that means no New LS at the LA Auto Show?
Well at least there's a livecam for both scheduled:
