It might look pretty close to the actual car, but I think it's still a photoshop. They look quite good, I won't be disappointed if the real car look like those pics posted.

man that is so god damn clever, why not just FLOOD the internet with 'official photos'?? then it just keeps people guessing and guessing to the point where they'll just wait for the real thing...could back fire though if it's not really up to expectations

I think the first picture's lights/grill looks like the 3rd gen GS. The tails definitely look like Mazda. It looks good......but I think I like the current IS better. I'm sure that will change when you see the 2nd gen IS on the streets........it'll make the 1st gen look OLD.

Well I see it like this. The last Protege, looked just like an IS. I thought it was the best looking small car then. So when they made the 3 and evolved the design, of course the next IS will resemble it.
Kinda like the whole 6th gen Maxima/GS styling thing. They copied the old style, brought our their car first, the GS is evolutionary, so of course people will think it looks like the Max, when they stole the look first.
I happen to think The Mazda 3 is THE BEST looking small car and the Mazda 6 the best looking midsize. So if the IS resembles it, that is a good thing to me.

I'm with Sick on this one.
I have no problem that it seems to have a bit of a Mazda influence. The Mazda line-up includes some of the best looking vehicles on the road right now at their respective prices (mazda3 @ <20k; mazda6 @ <30k; RX-8 @30 sports car).
And you know it's going to be better than the current car in nearly every way. Some of you may drag your feet on styling - but I have a feeling that once you current IS owners get your hands on one in a test drive - I'll soon after be able to pick up a current gen on the CHEAP!
At least I hope so.

EV ftw!!!
I think this is the "best" looking new car from Lexus since the 2nd gen GS!!!!!
I wish the 3rd gen GS was this instead.
