This pic makes it look too much like a Passat.
Then again, I also think the LS looks too much like an old S class, so...
Just imagine it black and with flashier wheels...
Jetta
Sorry, best profile pic I could find of an IS300.

EV ftw!!!
I absolutely love this pic. Just as SexySC said, I just hope the production version looks very similar to this. If I were in the market for a sports sedan, this would definitely be on my short list. I LOVE THE LOOK OF THIS IS350 GT!!!!! It is definitely NOT absurd looking like the new 5 and 7 series Bimmers.

Everyone keeps saying this car looks like this one or looks like that one. Well, they all have to go in a wind tunnel, all have to meet lots of regulatory requirements, all want to maximize space, all have to package engines, suspensions, people, groceries, etc., so eventually it's not surprising there's so many similarities.
I say stop saying this car looks like that one and just say whether you like it or not!
I'm with Hameed, that IS350 (chop or not) looks great.

I am here to translate, LOL.
There will be GT, spots, versions of the new IS, GS and LS models.
The IS350GT (that is a typo, looks like a new GS to me)
The LS500GT
The engine of the LS500GT should have between 400 and 600 hp.
The IS350GT should get 350 hp as will the GS.
The LS500GT is expected in august of 2006 and should cost around $100k (estimate).
There will also be another engine for the LS lineup, a 5 liter V8 with 310 hp.
The rest of the replies don't really add to this.
Hope this helps.

In any case, I like the looks of the Passat, and therefore, I also like this photoshop...

If it hasn't been said before, these pics are definitely photoshops.
That said, they do seem promising (though contrary to the Lexus line which says the IS will resemble to LF-C?).
I hope they keep the IS's C pillars. Part of what makes the car so special is the way the passenger compartment merges with the trunk in a sharp, angled manner.

has it been confirmed anywhere that there will be a 3.5L engine produced by toyota for the 350gt version? i dont see it being likely since they just developed that 3.0 245hp v6 but who knows.

Is it me or are a lot people just pullin rabbits out of their corn holes? The photochops look ok, but I really have to say that I HATE seeing them. Especially when people try to pass em off as spy pics. It's such a waste of time because it's somebody's fantasy car which is in no way related to the real thing. Unless you are appreciating it for artistic value, you're just wasting time discussing it. And then there's so much awful info going around about the new GT models that just reeks of BS. . . and I severely doubt they will be even call them by GT. All this claim about hp and engines, too many "will be's" and not a whole lot of honest "I think" or "I want." I guess I shouldn't flame you guys who wish to believe, but from all of my prior experience, I would warn anybody reading any of this that all the information you see is pure speculation
The facts:
1. Hybrid versions of Lexus will start to see their way into production, starting with the RX400h("to the power of h"), already starting a naming pattern. (from a press release)
2. The GS will released soon (pictures already released) offered with 4WD, and the same engine choices. The GS is supposed to represent the direction of Lexus's new design theme. By the way you guys remember how extremely off all the prior spy pics were of the GS.
3. The IS is due for a redesign as well within the next few years
4. A sport division is coming comparable to AMG or M
5. The LS430 was JUST refreshed in design, and was originally released in 2001 or was it 2002?
