Hey guys, I know the instructions are here somewhere because I did it on my GS but I have seemed to have lost them. I tried and searched through 13 pages of posts and couldn't find anything. If anyone could post them for me I would greatly appreciate it. I am trying to program both the key and remote. I think there are different instructions for the two. I have a 2002 ES300. Thanks in advance.
If I'm not mistaken, isn't the master/valet key for the '02 ES just one key (no separate remote fob)?
Oh yeah thats what I meant .. sorry about the misunderstanding. But I think that there's two different instructions to programming the key and then another set of instructions for programming the remote part of the key. In other words the transponder and alarm part. I just needed the instructions for both to program the key and remote part of key.
Immobilizer program:
Insert already registered master key into ignition
Press gas pedal 5 times
Press brake pedal 6 times
Remove key and insert key to be registered
Press gas pedal once
At this point the security light will begin to blink. After approximately 60 seconds the light will go out. Your key should now start vehicle.
Remote program:
Driver door open and all doors unlocked
Insert master key into ignition switch : in and out TWICE
Close and open driver door TWICE
Insert and remove key into ignition switch ONCE
Close and open driver door TWICE
Insert key, close driver door, turn key to ON position ONCE and then remove key. You should get a confirmation of door locking and unlocking once by itself at this point.
Press both LOCK and UNLOCK buttons at same time and hold for 1 second
Then press LOCK for 1 second.
Remote should now work.
