"It's just 1 less thing to worry about" is fine with a new truck. Everybody can stop their worrying now, and save those tears for later when the truck needs a new transmission...just a bit more worrisome than paying a shop $100 to change the fluid. Though I could be wrong.

Differentials (and do not forget the transfer case) also need fluid changes. I do mine along with the transmission, as I wrote before, around 50 to 60K.

Off this topic, but I still think apropos...I posted a question for the Lexus person / people here regarding the rough shifting issue in the new LX 8-speed around a week or so ago...up until now, no answers. The complaint has been voiced here a bit, and a bunch on Mud and Tundra Solutions websites. Club Lexus already has a post from an owner regarding a dealer buy-back on a new LX for shifting issues.

Info would be appreciated.
