2011 LS460 L Warranty and self-maintenance
I have a 2011 LS460 L, with an in-service date 07/23/2011. I purchased it used from a Lexus dealership on 08/15/2014 as CPO-with a Certified Platinum Warranty. I extended this warranty to 6 years 100,000 miles with an expiration date of 08/15/2020. Will the following affect my warranty, as long as this required maintenance is done correctly, and, no damage is incurred by this self-maintenance?
Can I do the oil services myself- every 5,000 miles, including engine air filter -every 30,000 miles, and cabin air filter replacement- every 10,000 miles? I intend to purchase Toyota Genuine Motor oil 0-20 and a Toyota oil filter for oil changes. I also will hand print on the (Toyota Genuine Motor oil 0-20 receipts) the date of oil change with the current odometer for each interval of service.
Genuine Toyota cabin filter have been purchased in bulk, from Lexus with receipts, and will be changed according to the required scheduled maintenance.

All other services, such as replace brake fluid and replace spark plugs would be done by a Lexus dealership.

Completing the maintenance yourself does not necessarily void the warranty. In the event that the service you perform causes any damage to a component it may be voided by the extended warranty. Every warranty concern must be inspected by a dealer to determine the cause of the issues. It is this inspection and conversation that the dealer has with your extended warranty company that will determine what is covered.
