Default need advice on key fob battery

Hey guys I am having an issue with my key fob that has me stumped. 2000 ES300. My remote for the door locks wouldn't work, so I put in a new battery. It worked fine for three days, then it died. I bought another new battery and it worked fine for one day, then died. Anyone have an idea what is causing the batteries to drain so fast? I have checked the little red indicator light that comes on when a button is pushed to see if it was staying on. It was not. And I rarely carry my keys in my pocket, where the buttons might be unintentionally pressed. They are usually hanging on a hook by my door, and I drive very little. Thanks for any advice you can offer.
