Upgrading sound
Hi y’all. I’m new here and am desperately hoping y’all can help a fellow Lexus lover out! Within the last year I left the father of my three children after 18 long, miserable, abuse filled years and have been living life for ME and my kids and to the fullest since. I recently purchased my dream car. A 2007 Lexus IS350. She is beautiful. My touchscreen doesn’t work- needs new digitizer. Well I’ve decided to REALLY go big or go home. Yesterday I bought two 12 inch subs in a box, an amp and capacitor. Now I need a new radio. Anyone have experience on changing to an after market radio? I know the AC controls etc are all looped in with the factory radio. I don’t know if I have the special sound system as I’m not home or in my car but it does have navigation. I don’t care how much the new radio cost as price is not an issue. I just want a good, nice, COMPATIBLE after market radio for Sexy Lexy, my mid life crisis project car and MY BABY… I’m telling you she is my soul mate! Lol. Thanks in advance. I appreciate all input and help.

While my current '16 ES350 unfortunately does not have any real options for receivers, I would recommend looking at the Crutchfield website. They can walk you through what is needed, and phone calls to them are great to help guide you if needed.
I have used it to find the components and wiring harnesses I need to make installation as simple as possible in my other vehicles.

IIRC the Kenwood navigation line (DNx, etc) have OEM interface option for climate control, steering wheel input, etc. Really nice but the old ones are a little dated in the user interface. Check them out at a better sound shop. $500 and up, I think the TOTL is $1900!
