Hi Im new to the Forum. I currently do not own a SC but Im going to purchase one within a month.

I have several question about this cars Stereo.

1) What are the stock speaker Sizes? If someone could list all the speaker sizes that would be appreciated very much.

2)Can I replace the Head Unit? And is it only certain ones? I want to put a Alpine Unit if possible.

3) Are all the V8s used in these cars rated at the same Horsepower?

4)How large of a wheel can be used on this car? For example, what height and width in the front and the rear?

Well thats all I can think to ask at the moment. Thank You for all help regarding this...

Oh absolutely, I searched the forums for about a hour and a half for the last couple days, and never found exactly what I was looking for. I even searched outside this forum. Im new to this Forum but not forums all together, LOL. I always encourage newbies to use the search funtion also.

I am going to purchase a Sc400 regardless, I just wanted to get a headstart on searching, and perhaps purchasing audio equipment for the car.

 

1)4" front and rear, which can be replaced with 6.5"s
2)Yes, No, it's possible
3)No the hp rating changed 3 times with the different years. The newest models put down 290hp
4)I have seen up to 20x10 and even a 10.5 width on a smaller wheel

go to www.intellexual.net and check out the sc300/400 faq. That should break it down. I can't remember the exact years it changed.
