97 ES300 Factory Amp Issue with Aftermarket HU
So after tons of reading and trying to comb through all of the forums related to this topic I dont believe this issue has been addressed. In the process of installing a Aftermarket Android head unit in a 97 ES300 with the Premium Sound System and have all the recommended parts to retain the factory amp. All seemed to go well until powering up the new unit and testing. Unit powers up, boots correctly, the amp turns on and you start to hear the speakers as though they are on at extremely high volume with no sound output. This is regardless of the car running or just on battery power so I have eliminated the alternator hum listed here as an issue for this one. When the input is on basic radio when the volume is on 1 you can barely talk over the volume level of the speakers in the car. Any ideas that dont result in gutting the Amp or a recommendation for an amp that would not require rewiring and loosing the factory sub?
