Aftermarket Stereo Help
I just got a 98 SC 300. Love it to death but the stereo sucks!
I want to keep the head unit and ad new speakers and amp.
Speakers no problem.
But what about the amp/amps.
I have two aftermarket clarions, 4 channel and mono.
My understanding is that the current amps do not use RCA cords.
So how do I get around this?
Any and all help is much appreciated.
Thanks!!!

Search this forum and the SC forum and you will be provided with more than enough info. It has been done and the information is all here. I think it is a little more involved than you are expecting...but still not that bad. Post back if you need any help after you've gotten a little better understanding of what you have to do.
Looked up and down this forum for help. I keep seeing partial answers and opinions.
I also want to know if it makes sense to upgrade the amps without upgrading the HU?
I'll keep trying but if you know any driect links to a post let me know please.
Thanks!!!!

you have to use the search feature - up at the top left of the screen. There are years worth of discussions on the topic, not just what is on the menu today. search for the words "stock, headunit, aftermarket, amp, wiring diagram," etc. There is one thread entitled "line out" that was helpful for me.
